BRS Bylaws

About

Founded in 1955, the Boston Record Society (BRS) is a tax-exempt nonprofit organization incorporated in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

The mission of BRS is to promote interest in the recorder and recorder playing -- and in early music in general -- and to provide opportunities for players of all levels to meet others with similar interests and to develop their musical and ensemble playing skills.

Membership in the BRS is open to anyone interested in playing the recorder and other Baroque and/or Renaissance instruments.

Governance: The activities and affairs of the BRS are managed by the Board of Directors, elected annually (usually in April or May) by its members.
